Carrier Disclosure

Msg & data rates may apply.Message frequency varies based on your business's activity level and your customers' interactions. Text STOP to cancel. Text HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We never sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in/consent data with third parties for their marketing.

This disclosure applies to all automated SMS messages sent through the GridHand platform on behalf of client businesses.

01What messages we send

GridHand sends automated SMS messages on behalf of local service businesses that subscribe to our platform. Messages are tailored to each business and may include:

Missed-call text-backs
When a customer calls a business and no one answers, GridHand automatically sends a text to acknowledge the missed call and offer to help.
Appointment reminders
Automated reminders sent before a scheduled appointment or service date.
Review requests
A follow-up message sent after a completed service, inviting the customer to leave a review.
Customer notifications
Status updates, order-ready notifications, or other transactional messages configured by the business.
Follow-up messages
Post-visit follow-ups to check on customer satisfaction or provide next steps.

All messages are sent on behalf of a specific client business — not by GridHand AI LLC directly. The business name will be clearly identified in each message.

02Message frequency

Message frequency varies by business and by individual customer activity. A customer may receive:

  • 1 message per missed call — a single text-back each time the customer calls and the business does not answer.
  • 1–2 messages per appointment — a reminder sent before the scheduled date and optionally a follow-up after.
  • 1 review request per completed service — sent once after a job or visit is marked complete.
  • Transactional notifications as triggered — only when a qualifying business event occurs (order ready, status change, etc.).

GridHand does not send promotional broadcast messages or marketing blasts. All messages are triggered by specific customer interactions or business events. We do not send more than 5 automated messages per customer per month unless the business has significantly more activity and the customer has consented to ongoing communications.

03How customers opted in

Customer consent is the responsibility of the client business using GridHand. The TCPA requires prior express written consent before sending automated commercial SMS messages. GridHand client businesses collect consent through one or more of the following methods:

In-person at point of service
Customer provides their phone number to the business in person and agrees to receive automated follow-ups, reminders, and notifications.
Online booking or intake form
Customer enters their phone number on the business's website or booking system and checks a consent box before submitting.
Verbal consent with written record
Customer verbally agrees during a call or visit; the business records the consent with a timestamp.
Existing business relationship
For purely transactional messages (order-ready notifications, appointment reminders for booked appointments), consent may be inferred from the existing customer relationship where permitted by applicable law.
Business responsibilityGridHand does not collect consent directly from end customers. Client businesses are solely responsible for obtaining, recording, and maintaining consent records. GridHand processes only the data provided by the business and does not send messages to contacts not authorized by the business.
We never share your mobile opt-in dataGridHand does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in, or consent information with any third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used solely to deliver the messages a customer consented to, and is disclosed only to our SMS infrastructure providers (Twilio, Telnyx) strictly to transmit those messages on the business's behalf.

04STOP / HELP keywords

The following keywords are recognized in all messages sent through the GridHand platform. Keywords are not case-sensitive.

STOPImmediately unsubscribes the customer from all automated messages from that business through GridHand. The opt-out is permanent and takes effect within seconds of receipt. The customer will receive one final confirmation message: 'You have been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent.'
STOPALLSame as STOP — immediately removes the customer from all automated messaging from this business.
UNSUBSCRIBESame as STOP — an alternative opt-out keyword recognized by all major U.S. SMS carriers.
CANCELSame as STOP — immediately processes the opt-out request.
HELPTriggers an automated response with contact information for the business and GridHand support. Response example: 'For help with your [Business Name] messages, contact [business phone/email] or reply STOP to unsubscribe. GridHand support: support@gridhand.ai'
INFOSame as HELP — returns business contact information and opt-out instructions.

These keywords are enforced at the platform level. Client businesses cannot disable or override keyword handling. Once a customer replies STOP, GridHand blocks all future automated messages to that number from that business.

05How to opt out

To stop receiving messages: reply STOP

Text STOP in reply to any automated message you receive. Your opt-out will be processed immediately. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further automated messages from that business through our platform.

Opt-outs are:

  • Immediate. Processed within seconds of receiving the STOP reply.
  • Permanent. Your number will not receive further automated messages from that business until you explicitly opt back in (by replying START or by re-enrolling with the business).
  • Business-specific.Opting out from one business's messages does not opt you out of messages from other businesses using the GridHand platform.
  • Not reversible by the business. A client business cannot re-add a customer who has opted out without the customer's explicit re-consent.

If you experience any difficulty opting out, contact support@gridhand.ai with the phone number you wish to unsubscribe and the name of the business. We will manually process your opt-out within one business day.

06Carrier disclaimer

Msg & data rates may apply.

Standard message and data rates charged by your mobile carrier may apply to SMS messages received through the GridHand platform. These charges depend on your mobile plan and carrier. GridHand does not charge recipients for messages.

Carrier delivery disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery may be affected by network availability, carrier filtering, and device status. GridHand cannot guarantee delivery of messages across all carrier networks. Messages to landlines, VoIP numbers, or numbers with SMS blocking will not be delivered.

07TCPA compliance

GridHand operates its SMS platform in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, and the FCC's implementing regulations. Key compliance measures include:

  • Consent verification. GridHand requires client businesses to confirm that customers have provided prior express written consent before adding them to automated messaging workflows.
  • Opt-out enforcement. STOP keywords are enforced at the platform level and cannot be overridden by client configuration. Opt-outs are logged with timestamps.
  • Consent record retention. SMS consent records are retained for a minimum of 5 years in accordance with TCPA requirements and FCC guidance.
  • Quiet hours.Automated messages are not sent between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM in the recipient's local time zone, in compliance with TCPA quiet hour restrictions.
  • No prohibited content. GridHand does not send SHAFT content (sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco) through its SMS platform under any circumstances.

Client businesses using GridHand assume responsibility for compliance with TCPA and applicable state telemarketing laws with respect to their own customers. GridHand provides the technical platform — the legal obligation to obtain and maintain consent rests with the client business.

State law noteSeveral states have enacted telemarketing and automated dialing laws that impose stricter requirements than the federal TCPA. Florida (FTSA), Oklahoma, and Washington have state laws with independent private rights of action. Client businesses are responsible for complying with the laws of each state in which their customers are located.

08Who sends the messages

GridHand AI LLCis the registered messaging sender under the carriers' A2P 10DLC program. Automated SMS messages are sent by GridHand on behalf of the subscribing client business, and each message clearly identifies that business by name. GridHand registers its brand and messaging campaigns with The Campaign Registry and the mobile carriers, and is responsible for the registered use case and message-content standards.

Messages are delivered through Twilio and Telnyx, registered SMS aggregators compliant with CTIA guidelines and A2P 10DLC requirements. Client businesses remain responsible for obtaining and maintaining the consent of the customers they message (see “How customers opted in” above).

If you receive a message and are unsure which business sent it or how to reach them, reply HELP or contact support@gridhand.ai and we will identify the sending business for you.
